After having a rough start at this startup, my boss and I assembled a team of students and trainees to work on several IoT projects, such as a sensor with a new kind of chip, that was able to detect gases in the air and could determine the air quality. AngularJS was used for website projects, as well as for an app we developed. I had a wonderful time and learned a lot about IoT, AngularJS, software architecture, as well as project management and leadership.

About This Website

I've created this website using React, Next.js, Contentful and Netlify (You can find the source code in my GitHub repository). Why this kind of tech-stack? I did so much Vue and Nuxt.js over the last years and I always wondered how it would be using React/Next. So here are some pros and cons...

Pros
(1) React hooks are just amazing ♥. (2) Next.js is pretty easy to setup and use. (3) Netlify is also super easy to use, e.g. connecting to GitHub, preview and deploy the website. (4) Contentful is a headless CMS, that is just amazingly easy to setup and structure

Cons
(1) Although I was able to create dynamic routes based on my pages in contentful, I somehow was not able to pass that data directly to the components. Instead I had to fetch each page again. This was easier using Vue and Nuxt.js. (2) Rendering Contentful Rich-text values are kind of a pain in the ass. (3) Unfortunately there is no easy way to extract TypeScript Definitions from Contentful GraphQL Schemas
